PRIVATE SALE.... Beautiful Garden Flat in central Oxford £230K

My name is Catherine & I am selling my beautiful garden flat located in central Oxford, just beside University Parks. 



Located at 5 Purcell Road, Marston, Oxford, the flat is ideally situated with fabulous access into town via University Parks (10 mins on foot) & is close to the ring road with easy access to London. I am also perfectly suited for the JR hospital which is just round the corner!

The flat is the ground floor conversion of a 1930's semi detached house. Here are a few details....




The original front door opens up into a small shared hallway. My neighbor upstairs has a door which leads upstairs to his flat, with the door to my ground floor flat next to his. On opening this you find yourself in the hallway. I have two under stairs cupboards which offer fantastic storage for the hoover & a suitcase or two! The Worcester gas fired combo boiler is housed in the main cupboard.

The bedroom is off the hall to the right & has a lovely big bay window which floods the room with light. The room is 3.81m x 3.5m (12'6" x 11'6") so feels nice & airy. I have quite a lot of furniture in the bedroom (my Grandma's bedroom set that I can't part with) so with slightly smaller pieces you will enjoy even more floor space in here! The room is set up with Virgin TV (as is the whole flat) which is rather lovely to have while watching tv in bed! I have gone for red as this compliments the gorgeous original red quarry tiles. There is a handmade wooden window in here (all the window's apart from the front bay were handmade about 5 years ago), under cupboard lighting & a ceiling multi spot lighter. There is an integrated Diplomat dishwasher & fridge/freezer, along with a double STOVE oven cooker with electric hob & extractor fan.






The lounge has stripped wooden floors and beautiful handmade wooden patio doors leading out into the garden. There is a tv point in the back right corner of the room, along with a phone point. There is a double panal radiator on the back wall which keeps this room nice & toasty in the winter months!



The door from the lounge leads into the small utility room. This houses my washer/dryer & a very useful cleaning cupboard which is all fitted underneath a worktop that matches the kitchen. There is a big window in here which makes it light & airy. There are hooks behind the door which house the coats. There are hooks above the dishwasher too which are useful for bicycle helmets or any other cleaning utensils!

My garden is going to be very hard to leave behind & has had many hours (& many ££) spent in it to make it look as full & fabulous as it does! There is a patio area next to the house accessed via the patio doors. There is a small & manageable area of grass surrounded by established shrubs & planting. The shed is extremely useful for bikes & storage of garden furniture etc. This will be included in the sale. I will be taking all of my pots, the water butt & bench, but everything else in the garden will remain. 




This is truly a wonderful flat & I am going to be sad to leave!! It is in a perfect central location but is so quiet & not overlooked at all. On sunny days sitting in the garden I can hear the horses going by & the cricket being played in the fields behind! My neighbors are all great & it is a very family orientated area so no crazy student parties every night.
